Graduating from Secondary School in British Columbia.
The Grade 10, 11 and 12 academic program ensures that as an International Student, you meet BC graduation requirements, have the opportunity to experience leadership and global learning and prepare for entrance to university and college. During Grades 10, 11 and 12, you must complete at least 80 credits of course work to satisfy the minimum requirements for graduation. You may be eligible to receive course credits, and external language credits for work completed in your home country or for work completed outside the classroom.

Grade 10

  • English 10
  • Social Studies 10
  • At least one Science course
  • Mathematics 10
  • Physical Education 10

Grade 11

  • English 11
  • Social Studies 11
  • At least one Science course
  • Mathematics 10

Grade 12

  • English 12* or Communications 12
  • An additional 12 credits of coursework at the Grade 12 level

Students must also complete at least 4 credits of Fine Arts and/or Applied Skills coursework at the Grade 10, 11 or 12 level in addition to: 4 credits of Graduation Portfolio Assessment credits, 28 additional credits of elective courses, A minimum of five government examinations at the Grade 10, 11 or 12 level, of which one must be English 12 or Communications 12
